Team KLM took their first scalp of 2014 with a well fought 5-0 win against the powerfully built anglo- celtic team of Chapman Petrie.
After initially looking like an early-round FA cup tie, it soon became clear that there would only be one winner as team KLM moved through the gears to put the spirited opposition to the sword. A healthy crowd soaked up the slick and classy entertainment KLM offered.
Goals:
- Jamson x2
- Brady x1
- Sharvs x1
- Lionel Mussi x1
Notable Mentions:
Simon Gouldbourn - rather mature for a debutant, but showed an immaculate reading of the game alongside real passion and finesse for defending. Risk averse.
Bolivier - limited focus at times but has since been likened to a modern, posh version of chopper Ron Harris. The silent assassin with wobbly legs.
Jam Jo Shelvey - slippery like a scouse eel with a killer eye for goal. Very light on his feet as you’d expect for someone from Liverpool.
Sharvs - successfully and aggressively redefined the “headless chicken” role. Capped a fine performance with a well taken long range drive at the death.
Well done boys
