KLM Real Estate have announced 4 new retail lettings in Kingsgate Centre, Huddersfield ahead of the opening of a major leisure operator.
Holland & Barrett and Lovisa have joined the scheme line up, taking 2,000 sq ft and 800 sq ft stores respectively. Pandora have upsized within the centre and Boots have agreed to relocate from their King Street to a new 16,000 sq ft anchor store.
These announcements come as Kingsgate Shopping Centre prepares to welcome multi-leisure operator The Light into the former House of Fraser department store. The Light will offer a six-screen cinema, bowling, arcades, a climbing centre, interactive darts, karaoke, and restaurants.
Will Thomas said: “Huddersfield town centre is seeing some major changes with interventions from key stakeholders, including Kirklees Council to remove surplus retail and leisure supply. This is consolidating the prime retail and leisure pitch within and around Kingsgate Centre and we are really pleased to be welcoming these new brands to the centre”.
Other occupiers at the 280,000 sq ft shopping centre include JD Sports, TK Maxx, Sports Direct, HMV, Waterstones, and River Island.
