KLM Real Estate has advised US Investment Manager, Jamestown, on its first UK Shopping Centre purchase in the UK. The Investment Manager has purchased Lion & Lamb Yard in Farnham, Surrey, which comprises 60,000 sq ft of retail accommodation and 20 flats held on ASTs. The freehold scheme is a boutique open air shopping centre anchored by a Waitrose supermarket set within an attractive cobbled courtyard environment.
The centre lies adjacent to the central Lower Hart car park and comprises national retailers such as The White Company, Jo Malone, Whistles, Neal’s Yard and Waterstones. There are also a number of independent retailers and restaurants with attractive outside seating areas which complement the national offer.
The property was marketed with an asking price of £27.5 million, which represents a significant discount from when it was last traded in 2007 for over £32M.
